Ken Brightman has played guitar around the Bay Area since the early 1990"s. He played electric blues guitar with Whailing Sam and the Screaming Nighthawks, and was a member of The Geezers, a traditionl country/western band based in Fairfax. He co-lead Blue Country, featuring the great Judy Dobyns, playing a traditional country/western and western swing repituire. ken along with Aaron Bolano of Meule Pucky fame, created The Loaded Ponies which performed western swing and honky tonk tunes. Ken was a member of Jeb Brady and the Bowevels, a jug band that performed at the 2008-2009 Sanfrancisco Jug Band Festival. He is currently a member of The Rusty String Express and, for over 15 years he as been a member of Campblell Jazz Soup a traditional jazz/swing bend reaturing Brian Campbell. Ken is also competent playing; country blues, fingerstyle and bottleneck guitar.
Calvin Keaoola. A native of Honolulu, is a volinist well versed in neumorus styles from Hawaiian to blues to gypsy jazz to latin and classical. in 2001 he completed a US rodeo circuit with the Pearl River Country band and County Music Hall of famer Patric haggerty. He has performed with legendary rock band It's a Beautify Day; Brian keith of Bill Monroe's Bluegrass band; Scotland's Alasdair Fraser; Bobby Black & john Ely of Asleep at the Wheel. He has also played with members of The Robin Nolan Gypsy Swing Trio. Calvin has also played with the bay area's Golden Gate hot Club, Goucho, Tipsy Gypsy Trio, Oriente Salsa Band, and Callisto String Quartet. Calvin
Greg Dunn is a versital multi-instrumentalist who plays a variety o musical styles in several bay Area bands. In addition to the gypsy jazz flavor of Blue Ambiance greg can be seen with the traditional jazz combo Campbell's jazz Soup,the wester swing outfit Loanstar Retrobates, and The Rusty String Express, and eclectic band performing a combination of Irish, american roots and gypsy jazz. Greg is also a solid rock and funk bassist and can be seen playing with the East bay cover band, Steve's garage.
Randy Frank. A founding member of the gypsy jazz group The Petaluma trio. He has performed with the Hot Club of marin, Eclair De Lune and Douce Ambiance. Randy's guitar styles range from Chicago Blues, Fingerstyle Country Blues, Delta Blues and Gypsy Jazz. randy is a competent guitar teacher who currently has multiple students in marin County where he lives.
